Dr. Mike Osborne (Certified Chiropractic Wellness Doctor)

I was born in San Francisco and lived in lower Michigan the majority of my life. Since my grandparents were from the Keewenaw, I spent most of my summers in the U.P. As a little boy, I remember standing on the shore of Lake Superior right here in Marquette and thinking that I would like to live here one day. I even tried to purchase this practice seventeen years ago but the timing just wasn’t right. Well here I am! If nothing else, I am persistent.

I graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina in 1995. It was one of the most challenging and at the same time rewarding experiences I ever had. Later in my career, I went on to receive a post certification in wellness. I received my Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner Certification (C.C.W.P.) in 2008. I had the privilege of studying under Dr. James Chestnut of Victoria, Canada who is one of the leading authorities on wellness and chiropractic in the world.

I have been happily married to my wife, Lynn, for fourteen years and have four wonderful children: Peyton, Sydney, Avery and Brady. We also have a bird and two companion doggies named Maddie and Bella. You may have already met Maddie and Bella since they love to visit the office. As you can see, we are busy!

My practice philosophy is simple: how you CHOOSE to eat, move, and think will not only dictate the quality of your life but how long you live. I’m here to help you achieve a longer, happier, and healthier life through chiropractic and teaching proper lifestyle implementation.

I lead a health conscious lifestyle. I work out with weights three to four days per week. I also walk every night weather permitting and stretch daily. I am a voracious reader who believes in life-long learning and self improvement; I average about an hour per day. My eating habits are better than most even though I do enjoy a bowl of chocolate ice cream and my wife’s homemade chocolate chip cookies on occasion. I also enjoy being outside, fishing and spending quality time with my family.

I consider myself an excellent listener and an expert on chiropractic and stress and its effect on human health.I hope I have the opportunity to meet you in person to discuss your specific health challenges, your personal goals and how we can help you reach them.

Born and raised a Yooper, I was blessed to come back to the UP to do my dream job of being a Chiropractor. I did my undergrad here at NMU then went on to Palmer College of Chiropractic. While I was at Palmer I was able to travel to Brazil for a chiropractic mission trip; what an amazing time and learning experience! It made my love of chiropractic even stronger.

I enjoy spending time outside and am happiest being by Lake Superior. I enjoy fishing with my Dad during the summer (but I won’t touch the fish). I love to cook, so ask and I can give you a recipe or you can give me a new one to try. I enjoy reading and usually have several books going at once. I travel as much as I can. I enjoy spending time in Madison WI with my nephews. I have a fantastic fur baby named Ava, who is a Silky Terrier.

I was born and raised in Escanaba, Mi but have lived in beautiful Marquette/Ishpeming for 12 years.  I am blessed with a beautiful daughter, Brynn, who keeps me very busy with her love for sports.  She loves to play hockey, basketball and softball, Brynn has such a passion for each sport, it is a joy for me to watch her grow into a young athlete.  At our home in Ishpeming we have two pets, a hamster named Cheesepuff, and a huge goldfish named Jake.
I enjoy camping and bonfires in the summer and sledding in the winter with my daughter.  A interesting fact about myself is that I have been a vegetarian for 17 years and really enjoy trying different types of recipes that are meatless.  I consider myself very outgoing and caring and cannot wait to see how this office touches peoples’ lives and helps them become the healthiest they can be.

I am the official wonder dog of the office. My dad thinks I’m really well behaved; what he doesn’t know is that I do it all for extra dog treats. I am usually at the office at least a few days a week. If I give my dad my sad puppy dog eyes in the morning he usually breaks down and will bring me extra days. I have him wrapped around my paw… See, I love going and seeing all my friends at the office. I’m not above giving you a kiss or nibbling on your ear so make sure you say hello to me when you’re here.

I was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant Michigan but quickly left home to explore the West Coast and most places in between before finally settling back in Michigan, this time choosing the beautiful U.P. I am very excited to be settling in such a beautiful landscape. I studied holistic health studies at The Evergreen State College in Washington State and did my massage certification in Crestone, Colorado, you might guess that I gravitate towards beautiful places.

I enjoy spending my free time cooking, I especially love baking, Indian food and vegan cooking. I also spend some part of everyday dedicated to my yoga practice as well as getting outdoors. I have a fur baby Bluebell, a cat who thinks she is a dog.

I am very excited to be able to offer massage in such a wonderful office. I am ready to listen to what you are looking to get out of your massage and use all my skills to help you. I offer traditional massages as well as deep tissue, shiatsu, acupressure, reflexology and aromatherapy. Or some mixture of any of the above!
